How To Add Emoticons in Shoutbox for Shoutmix

Emoticons can be used to replace your boring shoutbox so that users are more likely to leave some message in your blog. For this tutorial, we’ll be using shoutbox from http://www.shoutmix.com. You need to sign up for the service first if you haven’t signed up yet
1. Login to http://www.shoutmix.com
2. There will be 4 tabs available for you after logging in–Quick Start, General, Display & Security
3. Under Display, choose Smileys
4. Insert the URL of your chosen image under Smiley image URL
5. Insert anything that represents the smiley under Code
* Let’s say for happy-faced emoticon you can use :) in Code
* or for sad-faced emoticon you can use :(
6. Leave blank for (optional)
7. Then, click Add
8. Keep on adding emoticons if you want. The maximum limit is 10
9. When you’re finished, click Save settings
